Upcoming Tradeshows — Where We Are We Going To Be??

Trade shows  provide us with a unique opportunity to meet face to face with our many vendors, and past/current/future customers, allowing us to hear what our customers want and need. On the other side of the coin, it also let’s us show off our products and solutions to potential customers who may not know what options are out there for their aircraft. We both attend and exhibit at a wide spectrum of trade shows and conferences throughout the year. From the largest trade shows in the industry such as HAI Heli-Expo, and the NBAA Business Aviation Convention, small general aviation conventions, and even niche trade shows that cater to a very small part of the aviation industry, we leave every conference with new knowledge on available products and services, as well as a better understanding of our customer base.

The Canadian Business Aviation Association (CBAA) is a non-profit group advocating for Canadian business aviation interests. The CBAA has about 400 member companies including operators, management companies, maintenance companies, and suppliers, however the CBAA represents the entire business aviation community in Canada. The CBAA’s mission is to promote and simplify business aviation in Canada.

Every year the CBAA holds a convention and exhibition, and this year Calgary will be hosting the many members and guests from around Canada and the world. Northern Air Transport Association Annual Conference (April 30 – May 4, 2023)

Steve and Marnus spent the first week of May in Yellowknife, YT attending the Annual Conference of the Northern Air Transport Association. This conference lets us meet with the many air operators serving Canada’s north. Many of these operators are faced with distinctive challenges operating in such remote locations, coupled with the constant risk of weather changing for the worst in a matter of moments.

As the lifeline for Canada’s isolated communities, Northern operators often have unique avionics need to ensure they are able to safely navigate in areas far away from population centers, and in weather many other operators would choose to avoid. This conference allows us to meet with these operators and learn about these needs, and discuss possible solutions to their avionics problems.

Annual Aircraft Electronics Association International Convention & Trade Show (April 24-27, 2023)

Maxcraft has once again made the trip to our industry’s top trade show, which was held  in Orlando, Florida this year. The Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) represents nearly 1,300 companies in over 40 countries, these companies range from maintenance organizations, avionics manufactures, distributors, and repair shops. AEA has been holding this valuable conference since 1957 making 2023 the 66th annual gathering.

While many of our trade shows are primarily aimed at meeting with new or existing customers, AEA is the complete opposite. We receive very few leads from AEA, however it’s one of our most valuable conventions we attend every year. AEA allows us the opportunity to network with our network of vendors and develop relationships which are invaluable when we need them. AEA is also the place to be for new product introductions. Many manufactures wait until AEA to announce their latest and greatest avionics. By being on the ground, we’re able to learn first hand what is new, which allows us to tell our customers about the best options available. Technical and product training is also a highlight of this conference allowing us to learn the complex ins and outs of the products we sell and install.

Northwest Aviation Conference & Trade Show (Feb 25-26, 2023)

The NWAC attracts over 10,000 people annually, from pilots and aircraft owners, to mechanics, and students, the NWAC has something for everyone interested in Aviation. With 122,000 square feet of aviation displays, the NWAC is a great way to learn about the latest innovations in aviation, and network with like-minded aviators.  With over 75 hours of safety seminars, the short drive south from the Lower Mainland will pay for itself in knowledge. Maxcraft Avionics’ President, Daryl MacIntosh will be exhibiting at the one day Aerial Firefighting Conference on September 20th 2022 in Kelowna, BC.

The Aerial Firefighting Conference will let us show off the many avionics upgrades available to expand the capabilities of existing aerial firefighting aircraft, as well as our specialty of integrating these systems together to get the most out of them while also creating a seamless end user experience. Along with plenty of opportunities for networking amongst attendees, the conference will also feature presentations on a wide variety of topics concerning operators of aerial firefighting fleets, including trends, procedures, and government regulations. This conference gives leading operators a chance to discuss common problems impacting the industry, and to work together to solve them.
