{"id":1029,"date":"2012-08-31T21:20:47","date_gmt":"2012-08-31T21:20:47","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.maxcraft.ca\/blog\/?p=1029"},"modified":"2012-08-31T21:20:47","modified_gmt":"2012-08-31T21:20:47","slug":"maxcrafts-staff-go-to-the-aircraft-electronics-association-regional-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.maxcraft.ca\/blog\/maxcrafts-staff-go-to-the-aircraft-electronics-association-regional-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Maxcraft&#8217;s staff go to the Aircraft Electronics Association Regional Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Its that time of year again!<a href=\"http:\/\/www.maxcraft.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/AEAMemberLogo_hires-1.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright size-medium wp-image-1039\" title=\"AEAMemberLogo_hires (1)\" src=\"http:\/\/www.maxcraft.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/AEAMemberLogo_hires-1-300x150.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"150\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.maxcraft.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/AEAMemberLogo_hires-1-300x150.jpg 300w, https:\/\/www.maxcraft.ca\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/AEAMemberLogo_hires-1.jpg 448w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/h1>\n<p>Will, Andy and Daryl flew off to Calgary on Monday, August 27 to attend the AEA (Aircraft Electronics Association) Canada Regional Meeting. \u00c2\u00a0These training sessions are a huge benefit to our staff. \u00c2\u00a0Not only for the training but for knowledge in the changes in requirements, regulation updates, and announcements.<\/p>\n<h2>Day 1<\/h2>\n<p>On Tuesday, bright and early, it began with AEA Regulatory Sessions, then to Evaluation Alterations &#8211; Major vs Minor. \u00c2\u00a0This training was an update to the architecture of an alteration used by repair stations and technicians worldwide. \u00c2\u00a0After lunch they were offered the highlights of TAWS regulations, operations and maintenance, testing Mode S transponders, understanding the installation, configurations, software and more on the ESIS. \u00c2\u00a0At the end of the day they had the opportunity to visit exhibitors displaying their latest products and services.<\/p>\n<h3>Day 2<\/h3>\n<p>Wednesday offered a Garmin Aviation Product Training on the G600, G500, G500H and GTN series. \u00c2\u00a0Included Garmin&#8217;s recent new product announcements, including the GWX70 weather radar. \u00c2\u00a0Offered next was the Avidyne product training on the installation and troubleshooting considerations for IFD540 Touchscreen FMS\/GPS\/NAV\/COM, \u00c2\u00a0and other products.<\/p>\n<p>The final training session; Safety Management System (SMS). \u00c2\u00a0The AEA developed a SMS program designed for maintenance\u00c2\u00a0organizations sized for small businesses. \u00c2\u00a0This program has been coordinated with the FAA, TCCA and the\u00c2\u00a0Australian\u00c2\u00a0CASA and EASA providing a solid overview of modern safety principles, guidance on the SMS implementation and the use and operation of the \u00c2\u00a0proprietarty AEA SMS program.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.maxcraft.ca\/\" target=\"_blank\">Maxcraft Avionics<\/a>\u00c2\u00a0is a leader in airplane and helicopter avionic\u00c2\u00a0system upgrades like the Garmin GTN series, including installation of everything from a basic\u00c2\u00a0VHF\u00c2\u00a0Radio and simple Garmin portable GPS all the way to\u00c2\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/maxcraft.ca\/index.php\/product-lines\">TCAS, EFIS,\u00c2\u00a0and autopilot\u00c2\u00a0systems<\/a>. We have the largest avionics facility\u00c2\u00a0in Canada and we have over 20,000 unique part numbers in our\u00c2\u00a0in inventory to repair your aircraft or upgrade your cockpit.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Its that time of year again!
