Eurocopter AS355 Twinstar Electrical Upgrade
This winter, one of the Maxcraft crew was on-site in Montreal for a five weeks putting our electrical upgrade package in a Eurocopter Twins, Model AS355N. With the STC data package in hand, and support from home base, he installed a custom-fabricated panel and overhead console, as well as various electrical mods per our STC SH09-20. Our design staff worked hard to amend our STC for use with “N” model AS355’s. Work was completed in time for our customer to put the aircraft to work.
This extensive STC’d package provides greatly enhanced reliability of the electrical system by removing all overhead fuses, PCBs and associated non-aviation connectors, as well as many other improvements. Read more about our project here or our STC SH09-20 here.

No trimpots or dip switches! Also, units can be cloned or adjusted in the field without removal from the aircraft. This means that only one unit needs to be ordered to cover many different mission configurations. These features mean no more waiting (or paying) for customized units to be manufactured. Formal qualification testing has been successfully completed and CAN-TSO C-139 (technical standard order) has been granted by Transport Canada. The JA95-001 uses newer technology, has more features and is lighter and less expensive than any comparable product on the market!
